Good Morning #Canada
It's an early start this Friday as I'm off to the dealership for a bit of service on the car. I will apologize now because I am thumbing my nose at #MotherNature and removing my winter tires a bit earlier than usual. Sure, it's convenient for me to swap tires today, but it virtually guarantees a snowfall in the weeks ahead. HA... I laugh at danger....

A week ago, our yard was covered in snow. Today (sunny and 18°C) #MotherNature sends us signs that a steady stream of warmer days are coming soon.

A single Early Crocus has pushed through a thick layer of leaves from last fall.

A ring of Autumn Crocuses has emerged around the base of a young Suger Maple.

A single Early Crocus, about 4 cm across, has pushed its way through a layer of leaf mulch. The 6 petals are mostly white with light purple tips and the centre is bright yellow.

About 25 Autumn Crocus have emerged in a ring around a young tree. They are 3 or 4 cm high but will have bushy green leaves 20+ cm high in a few weeks. That green foliage dies off before June, like tulips, and a very showy light purple flower will return in late September or early October.
