Ich habe mir für einen neuen Laptop jetzt mal 32 GB RAM und eine 2 TB NVMe SSD bestellt und habe mich mal umgeguckt, wie man denn eine Platte so klont, vor allem in #Linux. Videos reden von #Clonezilla oder #Foxclone. Dann ich habe mal #perplexityai gefragt und was kam heraus?

This applies to many productivity companies, but the best example is Google. People often confuse “free” Google productivity apps with Google Workspace, wondering why anyone would pay for it.

The difference is your data privacy. Especially now with AI.

Gemini on “free” accounts is trained on your data, and human reviewers will see your (disassociated) conversations & interactions with the AI!

Gemini on Workspace doesn’t train on your company data, which stays internal to your organization.

This massive difference is how most companies deal with your data. Going forward, this will be amplified by AI with many people only using “free” accounts.

Again: if you aren’t paying for it… the price is “you”.

There was some uproar when the #AI in Apple’s #iOS notifications feature summarized news inaccurately. It turns out that this happens with the big #LLMs: #ChatGPT, #Copilot, #Gemini, and #PerplexityAI. The #BBC didn’t test #DeepSeek, but I’m willing to bet that it doesn’t work correctly too.
