Managed to figure out how to properly use #uv to manage #Python correctly such that it runs in a code editor.
I'm starting an IT & Computing course with #OpenUniversity that uses Python for problem solving, starting with IDLE but eventually migrating to a code editor - I needed to get it working properly.
Been through computational #mathematics this morning - both converting equations and expressions to code, but also writing them with #LaTex with nice formatting.
Apart from the finance side of things, that me now fully registered onto my new #Psychology module, with The #OpenUniversity! 
I'm looking forward to start my #Psychology studies, as #OpenUniversity module registration opens on Wednesday.
I'll be signing up to Encountering Psychology in Context (D120). I can't wait to begin.
The web pages for my next #OpenUniversity course are now live. I've really missed it and I'm excited to work through it and learn more things.

I've been using #Linux for over seven years now and have come to love both the #OpenSource and #UNIX design philosophies. I use OS apps where I can, though I'm pragmatic about it (there are a few closed apps I use).
Outside of this I'm a student with the #OpenUniversity, a writer, researcher and avid reader!

When I was a young nerdling I would get up early Saturday to switch on the TV, and of the three, later four TV channels that we had the one I would go to for early entertainment at 6:30 a.m. was BBC 2 Open University.
And this is what I would watch, religiously:

As the holder of both an OU first degree & a later MA (done like Alderman while I was working) I completely endorse this message.... a great British institution that has done so much to democratise university education.

Just realised that my reference #library is woefully out of date, as most of my [small collection of] #books, apart from my #OpenUniversity course material, are well over 10 years old now.
It will be a slow process, but I look forward to creating a more up-to-date library going forward.
I've been able to finally create an account on here, after trying (off and on) for ages. So he's my #introduction.
I'm an #OpenUniversity student on the penultimate module of a #CreativeWriting and #EnglishLanguage degree. Once this is done, I plan to pursue a 2nd degree in #Psychology, which I've come to realise is my main #academic field of study.
Outside this, my other academic areas of interest include, #linguistics, #religion, and #communication.
It's taken me till the penultimate module of my current #OpenUniversity degree, but I've finally determined my core area of #academic study... #Psychology!
It has nowt to do with my current degree, so I have these last two modules to get through before I can begin my true studies!

While I'm on the penultimate module of my current #OpenUniversity degree, I am seriously leaning towards doing Psychology for my next one. 
I have a good year and a bit to formally decide, but I'd like to spend till then delving into the basics of the subject.
