I am looking for a #book which features an oceanic thermal conversion power plant on the cover. It’s aimed at YA ages. Anyone have any ideas? I wish I remembered the title, but I know what it looks like. The #library I used to find it at weeded it years ago & I have been struggling to locate a copy or even just the title ever since.

The #library is a truly democratising force in our relentlessly capitalistic society. I've always been a fan, but even *I* didn't appreciate as I should. People play games, connect to the internet, apply for jobs, surrounded by knowledge and the arts. No wonder the fash want to destroy libraries.

Library passport adventures continue! There are many cool aspects to visiting every #library in the city but one of he best is simply getting a sense of the neighborhoods, which are relentlessly interesting. Today people were spilling into the streets just after prayers at mosque.

Our library system turns 80 this year. Celebrations and events are planned. They issue library passports that you can get stamped at the various branches. If you visit all nine you get a deck of cool postcards designed for each library. Today I visited three branches that were farthest away. Only one left to visit and I’ll have all nine! #Library #Nerd

Very proud of my son. His HS #library had a pile of #books they were retiring, free for the taking. He grabbed all he could fit in his backpack and then some. Mostly history books on Egypt, Asia, France, some on social issues, and David Macaulay’s Mosque (for me). All to keep, read, and consult.
