This is an Obsidian plugin that allows you to sync an Obsidian vault with GitHub without having to install Git on the machine where Obsidian is used. In other words, this plugin supports syncing to/from GitHub via Obsidian on mobile devices where Git can't be installed.

The plugin allows users to handle Git conflicts. The plugin shouldn't be used together with other sync services.

I want a FOSS calendar that I can see other peoples' google calenders on. My girlfriend is very busy so I often need to check her google calendar to do scheduling stuff, but I don't want to use google myself, at all. I've seen people claiming they could do a setup to see a partners google calendar while using fossify calender app but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I think I need another syncing tool and something about servers? Is any of this even secure also? Can it be encrypted automatically? Please help- I have no idea what I'm doing.

Let's compile a list of non-US based computer technologies/applications for people looking for alternatives. Here are some that I use daily:

@Remittancegirl @Christo_459 Probably none. The connection between Russia and the Baltics has carried no energy either direction for a couple of years now. The Baltic electricity grid has been synced from the Russian network and now they are moving to the Continental European synchronisation.

This shouldn’t affect any electricity consumers in any of these countries.

Here is an other post of my series about #^WebDAV & CO .

In the last posts we learn who to mount the Hubzilla/streams cloud by WebDAV to our desktop or phone.

Now if we would have the option to auto-sync folders into or from the Hubzilla/streams cloud this would gives us even more abilities and extended usability.

For auto-sync folders form an android phone you can try RoundSync

The project builds on rclone and is fork from RXC

RXC is also a very useful app but it is lacking the auto-sync function.

After you set up the WebDAV remote connection in RoundSync you can add tasks and timer for triggering the different tasks - i love it.

On your desktop and if you are on Linux you can have a look at Celeste

First set up the WebDAV connection and add to the URL also a folder in your cloud if you like

than set up the local folder like:

Celeste works very well - the downside is that we can´t set a time-period for syncing... when Celeste is running sync will start every 2 second...

Auto-sync folders can be very useful for a lot of things, not just for backups.
You may post and tell us about the use cases you come up with.

I use it to save my photo collection of images i find in the web to a HZ photo album. Also edited notes from Joplin can be shared this way automatically.

In the next post i will show an Android audio player which can play your privat music /audio file collection from your WebDAV streaming cloud.

STAY TUNED and keep following

If you are like me and are driving an old Ford Fiesta with Sync and the bluetooth part crashes sometimes after your phone's system updates, you need to pull the F10 fuse to force a reset of the center console. If you have a 2014 model, like I do, that means taking out the glove box to get to the fuses.
