I'm an #iOS and #macOS #software #developer, experienced in #UIKit, #AppKit, #ObjectiveC, #Swift and #SwiftUI, have worked with the #Parse framework as well as #Realm / #MongoDB and the whole toolchain around it. I have been working in software development for about 30 years and am looking for a remote position (permanent role, preferably in an AT/DE startup).

Are there people here still using (or used to use) the #Parse framework / platform? (that former Facebook thing)

@laurenshof Hoi Laurens. We zagen een vervelend probleem met parsen van de JSON van jouw blog AP nodeinfo API: https://browser.pub/https://fediversereport.com/wp-json/activitypub/1.0/nodeinfo

Zoals je ziet in de JSON output returneert deze API activeMonth & activeHalfyear als een string ("2") in plaats van een integer (2). Welke Wordpress plugin gebruik je? Dan meld ik dit probleem upstream.

Context free grammars (CFG) are better than parsing expression grammars (PEG), because CFGs represent how we think.

Parser combinators are similar to PEGs, so they are worse than CFGs, too.

So, don't use Rust libraries nom, combine. Use lalrpop.

Don't use Haskell libraries parsec, gigaparsec, attoparsec, megaparsec, trifecta. Use Earley, happy.

#datarecovery experts, please can you help?

The #SD card in my #Android phone, decided to become unusable as extended storage recently. I removed it and cloned it using #ddrescue in Linux, and I've now got a 32G hex file ready to analyse.

I can't mount the SD card nor its cloned hex file, but I can see in the hex file what look like regular file structures.

Without being able to mount either the drive nor the clone file, how can I #parse the #hex file for recognisable files and #rescue them?
