Sorry #OpenSUSE but BTRFS snapshots don't offer the same functionalities of #Bootc or RPM-OSTree+OCI images that would be perfect for multiple vendors like public institutions looking for "layering" their customizations on top of each others.
@derek Thanks for that . Nice wallpaper too, can I ask where you got that? Also, see you are using #KDE My current favourite on #openSUSE #tumbleweed

Hello Fediverse, time for an introduction! My name is Matthew (or Matt, Mattie), and I'm a non-binary software engineer based in the UK. I've been on fedi before but I've decided to make a presence here where I can share my more professional stuff. I'll be posting about:
- Typescript, React, Astro and Webdev
- Unreal Engine, C++ and game dev
- Devops and Linux, primarily Opensuse
Feel free to follow me!
I am literally thinking about buying an extra laptop just for #distrohopping I mean #fedora is my home. But I miss checking out other distros on metal instead of in a VM....
and I really miss having #opensuse running on a machine all the time... also #geeko is cute sue me
<https://en.opensuse.org/OpenZFS#ZFS_on_Root> openSUSE does not yet support ZFS on root.
It's not an essential feature, however I'm accustomed to it, so Kubuntu might be an option.
I didn't include these two distros in the poll because my experience with them is so outdated (I toyed with OpenSUSE, maybe on PowerPC, around two decades ago …).
One command away from upgrading your entire system:
