Today I shall mostly be at the allotment Social Sunday although we have nothing ready to plant out. This will be followed by a walk and some laundry. Busy week ahead.

The Silver Fire has grown from 0 to to 150 acres in 2 hours and we are the next section to evaculate. Please pray for rain and that the winds to die down. As well as the fire folks to get the fire under control.
a break from the doom. #generative #vcvrack patch. #eurorack potato video but decent sound, so as not to abuse the mastodon instance #notsoSilentSunday
Starting off Sunday morning with bad puns that make my husband groan.
Woke to check my phone and noticed I woke an hour before my alarm, proceeded to joke that I was living on borrowed time and made my husband pout and facepalm.
Evening star Venus on Dixon Lane. Photo taken in a rush, as to not get run over, at dusk two nights ago.
Op out
To celebrate me dumping FB, Messenger and Instagram all in one go tomorrow, I thought I'd post this little song I made.
One minute and fifteen seconds of your life you'll never get back.
There's a party goin on at my son's bedroom
And we're listening to the creme de la creme of Eurodance. And Kiss.
My stomach sounds like it’s swearing at me #TacoBell #FuckMyLife #mastodon #sunday #NotSoSilentSunday

Precise distances to Izmir and Bangkok would give the option to triangulate me, so blurred.
It was a day for the #birds, as I was out clearing a path through the long grass in the #wood, #notsosilentsunday. Whilst out, I had a curiosity visit from three #goldenorioles, albeit not the ones in the picture below, taken one summer's evening several year's ago. At the same time, a #cuckoo decided to perch in an oak nearby and call out very loudly to all and sundry, and then a magnificent #blackwoodpecker came and landed right in my field of view to peck at a pine and call out forlornly.
Overall, winter here is rather calm, weatherwise. Our windiest days tend to be in spring and fall when the biggest temperature changes are afoot, and of course during thunderstorms in summer, which can be very intense, but usually not long lasting.
Some good winds in the last few day-- all sorts of tree debris raining down on the house currently...

Morning walk. Not pictured: the cacophony of birds, including a dedicated woodpecker (probably a flicker).
