Yesterday @literatesavant mentioned that the now-defunct US GM brand Saturn had also done an asymmetric car - and here it is, the second-generation SC coupé, which gained a second, rear-hinged driver’s side door in 1999. The shut-line is just visible in the first photo here. I saw this one in 2023 in the Sainsbury’s car park in Mildenhall in the UK. This is near two big US Air Force bases, which presumably explains how the car ended up in England.

Today the #Moon 🌔 continues in #Virgo ♍, and

forms an #opposition to 3 planets in Pisces 🔱

#Venus, #Saturn, and #Mercury. 🪐

Oppositions help us see something...

we could not previously see. 🫣

The humble Virgo activities of:

✨ hard work 🌾
✨ effort over time 🛞
✨ focusing on the details 🧐

helps bring meaning 🌠

to your work! 💖

The Tet offensive and student protests against the Vietnam war, the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, and an election victory for Richard Nixon -- some of the major events that took place around the last time #Rahu was conjunct #Saturn, 57 years ago.

💁🏻‍♀️ ICYMI: The #physics of #Earth's tides connects our everyday beach experiences to the cosmic dance of celestial bodies. This TED-Ed #animation explains how the #Moon and #Sun's gravitational pull creates those rhythmic rises and falls of #ocean #water we observe. 🌊🪐

What's fascinating is how these same tidal forces work across our solar system—squeezing and stretching #Jupiter and #Saturn's moons, creating hidden oceans beneath Europa's icy shell, and even powering Io's volcanoes.

Does anyone remember the golden #Voyager record which sent encoded information about our own life form on voyages in the hope that an #alien life form would find it and decode it to communicate with us? 🛰️

Now, for centuries, we have had a #planet 🪐 right under our noses that looks like those rings are a giant #record

Could someone develop a record player that big to find out if it is coded #information left behind by an alien life form to communicate with us? 🤔

Parker: The Solar System from Near the Sun

NASA's Parker Solar Probe captured a time-lapse from inside #Mercury's orbit, showing coronal streamers, a Coronal Mass Ejection, and #planets like Mercury and #Venus. Between #Earth and #Mars, #Comet Tempel 1 appears. The video also shows high-energy solar particles. This data helps us understand space weather impacts on Earth.
