Before there was Smash Bros., the Sega Saturn had Keriotosse!, with a similar gameplay premise right down to a bunch of unlockable fighters. To expedite access to all those characters, Bo Bayles came up with an Action Replay code to unlock them all — read about it in Double Dime’s story:

Fafling has worked miracles with his latest patch to fix the Saturn version of Doom, improving the game's frame rate dramatically, fixing graphical glitches and making other improvements! Read all about it in Gregori Rasputin's story:
This is several years old but someone did a mock-up to see what #PhantasyStar II would look like on the #Sega Master System.
They actually converted some of the sprites and tile sets to the Master Systems color pallet and resolution.
It looks absolutely gorgeous!
If this were ever actually ported I would play through it again in a heartbeat!

I have been fortunate enough to collect two amazing bits of rare, unusual and near-mint #Sega #MegaDrive / #MegaCD hardware this week. The first is the "Team Player", which let you use up to four controllers on a single system.
Of the six positions on that slide switch, A B C and D picked which of the four controllers would be passed through to the console, so you could flip seamlessly between a 3- or 6-button controller, or a mouse.
Mouse? Yeah, hang on - I'll get to that.

I always love seeing article for this game pop up as it's one of those games that's rarely brought up, yet feels to me like one of those typical Mega Drive games that still pop into my head when I think back on that time.

Donald in Maui Mallard stars Donald Duck in a metafictional role as duck detective Maui Mallard, who adopts the name "Cold Shadow" when he dresses up in ninja garb. 
In the North American versions of the game, all Donald Duck references are absent and the protagonist is instead referred to as "Maui Mallard," as the marketing team felt Donald Duck wasn't cool in the United States.
