Technically a day off work on #PTO as I have a certain fun procedure tomorrow afternoon and start prep later today.
No solid food, no creamer, etc, so I shall be drinking Ginger Peach Black Tea this morning.

I was up in the middle of the night running #FoodBank end of month reports, with the most important part sending my CEO an email of information.
Once I sent that email I practically crashed out into bed.
Today will be a mixture of eating what I can, working on other reports & emails, lots of naps, and most importantly keeping out of Arianna's way as she works from home. #WFH

A friend of mine is visiting at lunchtime with a few items that he made for me.
I will post details afterwards.

So, as you can see I really don't have much to report today.
I hope that your day is as peaceful. If you do get stressed please feel free to reach out for a private chat. I am home all day.

On Tuesday 2/4 the #NH house Labor Committee is hearing house bills about increasing #MinimumWage, increasing #unemployment benefit maximums, increasing workers comp payments from 60% to 66%, prohibiting #SubMinimumWage for servers and disabled people, and require employers pay out unused #PTO. This is amazing stuff.

There are also a bunch of restrictions the Republicans are trying to put on absentee ballots, and there’s some scary stuff in the family law committee like they want to publicly broadcast hearings and if a child rejects a parent they can require psychoanalysis and therapy for the family. I don’t have kids but that all makes me uncomfortable.

Anyway the link below is to the list of the employment stuff. I’m really excited about that I have a whole list of things I have to go oppose or support before the weekend is over.

YES! A hopeful milestone for American #Labor & working families:
The #Teamsters launched what the #union described as "the largest strike against #Amazon in U.S. history" on Thursday morning to protest the e-commerce behemoth's unlawful refusal to bargain with organized drivers and warehouse workers across the country.

Workers in New York City, Atlanta, San Francisco, and other locations are expected to participate in Thursday's strike, with more facilities prepared to join if Amazon's management doesn't agree to #negotiate contracts with unionized employees.

Common Dreams · Teamsters Union Launches 'Largest Strike Against Amazon in US History' | Common Dreams"We are fighting against a vicious union-busting campaign, and we are going to win," said one Amazon warehouse worker.

Many of you (like me) are off work today for Labor Day. Most white collar and corporate folks enjoy this benefit. But remember…

People working in grocery stores, restaurants, or retail stores do not.

Firefighters and healthcare workers are on duty.

Our utilities are all functioning.

Offices are being cleaned.

Teachers are prepping for their week.

Having today off in recognition of our efforts in labor is a privilege.

Enjoy it. Just be mindful.
