An excellent introduction (imho) to the concept of #Buddhist #emptiness.

"The Buddhist teaching of emptiness (#śūnyatā) can completely transform how you view life and yourself. Here we trace this life-changing insight from its original exposition by the Buddha, through the #Mahāyāna teachings of #Nāgārjuna, the #Yogācāra scholar-monks, all the way to the doctrine of the #Tathāgatagarbha (Buddha Nature)."

There should be a way to explain Nagarjuna's Mulamadhyamikakarika more clearly, or more down-to-earth.

Nagarjuna's text is inspiring, at a level I can't put into words. But (modern) commentaries sound a little specious (Garfield in particular).

I'd like an analysis that would explicitly frame it in terms of the two truths. Pointing when conventional is used to contradict conventional, when absolute is used to negate conventional, when absolute is approximated.

Earlier this month was the sixth anniversary of the release of Telugu devotional film "Om Namo Venkatesaya", starring Sourabh Raaj Jain, Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty and with music by M M Keeravani.

The film tells the story of Hathiram Bhavaji, a saint who visited Tirumala and became a devotee of Lord Venkateswara.

ABSTRACT
"Nāgārjuna’s doctrine of emptiness, his ideas on “two truths” and language, and his general method of arguing are presented clearly by him and can be stated without paradox. That the dialetheists today can restate his beliefs in paradoxical ways does not mean that Nāgārjuna argued that way; in fact, their restatements misrepresent and undercut his arguments."
