Entire remaining Defense Digital Service quit yesterday.

"This is a fairly high profile group with in the DoD Cyber groups and was a direct report to the Deputy Secretary of Defense and now direct to CDAO. They were considered the DoD version of US Digital Service which is the group that was dismantled for DOGE to exist. They were likely the direct competition to DOGE in the DoD."

The decision further clears the way for #Trump to re-fire probationary employees. Those are typically #FederalWorkers in their 1st or 2nd year on the job, or who have been recently promoted.

In a 2-to-1 decision, the appeals court said the Trump admin was likely to succeed in showing that the lower court lacked #jurisdiction in the case brought by 19 states & DC. The court did not rule on whether the firings were #lawful.

PORTSMOUTH — "Large crowds of protesters gathered Saturday at "Hands Off" rallies in Seacoast New Hampshire and Maine and across the nation, speaking out against President Donald Trump and his administration's actions.

"Large crowds in downtown Portsmouth lined both sides of the length of Congress Street, spilling into side streets, exceeding expectations for city police.
Protesters have focused on issues like Trump's tariffs, Trump's actions to end protections for immigrants and transgender people, the dismantling of the Department of Education, cuts to the Veterans Administration, and layoffs of thousands of federal workers.

"Protesters in Portsmouth called for the Department of Government Efficiency to be dismantled, for the federal government to protect #teachers, public #school staff, #Abortionrights, #FederalWorkers, #WomensRights and #LGBTQ+ rights, labeled Trump “#orangeMussolini,” and called for preserving #Medicaid, #Medicare and #SocialSecurity.

“Hands off the Constitution,” one sign said. “Democracy is not for sale!”

The report is: US employers added 228k jobs in March. About 2X the number added in Feb. The unemployment rate ticked up to 4.2% from 4.1% in Feb, as 232k people joined or rejoined the workforce.

But the report also says: Feb–March, #ElonMusk’s #DOGE signaled cuts of >280k #FederalWorkers & contractors in 27 agencies, acc/to a count kept by the outsourcing firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
