Here is the latest folding spoon that i have made for a costumer. its made out of cherry wood. I absolutely love how the chipcarved pattern turned out, i will definetly do a similar pattern in the future. I usually sketch out a small part of the pattern in advance and then the rest of the pattern is allowed to grow out of the sketch when I carve.

This was a commisoned pice. a spoon like this one would cost about 4000 SEK. Its takes about three days of fulltime work to make a spoon like this.

‘Wood You Mind’ Imbues a Charming Cast of Chiseled Characters with Exuberance and Whimsy via Colossal [Shared]

A beaming fast-food duo, rotund stegosaurus, and shy alpaca are among the large cast of playful characters crafted by Parn Aniwat (previously). Working out of his studio in Texas, Aniwat, a.k.a Wood You Mind, carefully chisels each figure from wood, slowly but surely unearthing every character’s distinct features. Each personality is brought to life with vivid washes of acrylic paint, detailing endearing faces, sprightly attire, and a whimsical aura.

Another piece of ancient #history for #Caturday! 😸 This #drawing (also called a #graffiti) of a #cat can be found in the #Cloisters of #SalisburyCathedral. It may have been made by a Durch prisoner of war in the late 17th century. There are several graffitis all over the #church, you can even take a tour to see them. (I didn't but stumbled across this fellow by chance)

Diese Arbeit entstand aus einer unfertigen anderen Arbeit. Ursprünglich bestand sie nur aus den beiden Sprechblasen, aber ich war nicht zufrieden. Deswegen stand sie zwei Jahre rum, bis ich eines Tages diese Idee hatte. Dem Gefühl der Hilflosigkeit Ausdruck zu verleihen, das mich oft überkommt, wenn ich über uns Menschen nachdenke, war meine Intention.

Chamber of Leather Craft

Last year brought me lot's of #colorful #crafts , which in my case means that after #carving the image onto the #leather I will also #paint it.

This is a #guestbook for one of our local children-garden which happens to have a logo drawn by late famous #estonian #writer and #illustrator Edgar Valter.

I feel so honored to have been chosen for this commission, to make a #replica of he's work on leather.
