Here's a mystery for all the #synthesizer nerds out there: The 1988 released #Kawai K1 Keyboard has a very similar case design to the #Yamaha CS1x which was released almost a decade later. Yamaha designed their devices, such as the QS300 and CS1x/An1x by the "Hamamatsu Design Team" - I wonder if there was something at play here. Maybe the team worked for Kawai before? Or someone just was a fan of the K1? Who knows... Japanese product design is a rabbit hole and worth checking out.

I rode the RD400 with full PPE, all the way from the underwear, up to the motorcycle riding boots, a PPE set which cost at that time about 1,800 US dollars. It was a PPE set that was ready for the circuit, the racing circuit
