Update: Todon.nl is temporary offline as planned. See more below.

WARNING! This (June 11) evening/afternoon at 18h00 CEST (Amsterdam time)/12h00 EST (New York time) TODON.NL will temporary completely go offline!

This because of the migration to our new hosting provider.

The reasons for this short notice are the known performance issues we unfortunately experience.

First we will make a 100% up-to-date database backup and than all the (media) files will be transferred to the new location.

I can’t say when exactly the server will be online again, but I aim for later tomorrow June 12. Please check tomorrow regularly this page for updates.

@Labonitamascota @Sebastian Ich würde, wenn es zum allgemeinen Gebrauch gilt und Mensch keinen Wert auf rein deutschsprachige lokale Timelines legt, die bewährten Instanzen von stux empfehlen: mstdn.social, masto.ai oder mastodon.coffee.

Wer von troet.cafe oder muenchen.social wegzieht, den/die möchte ich zumindest auf die Umstände bei 2 Instanzen hinweisen: social.dev-wiki.de beheimatet wissentlich Querdenker:innen, entsprechende Inhalte werden dort nicht entfernt. Auf #todon (todon.eu/todon.nl) wird man grundsätzlich gebannt, sobald man sich für das Existenzrecht Israels ausspricht - man sieht von dort auch keine Inhalte von Usern auf Drittinstanzen, die deshalb von todon gebannt wurden.

Hallo ich bin El Joa, bisher (und wohl auch zukünftig parallel) als @El_joa unterwegs.

Ich bin mir noch nicht ganz klar, wie ich diesen 2.-Account hier nutzen will, finde es auf jeden Fall schön, auf eine deutschsprachigen Instanz zu sein. (Eventuell hier eher DE und bei #Todon eher EN?! Ganz sauber werde ich es aber eh' nicht trennen können).

If you're in solidarity with #Israel or disapproving the demonisation of them by BDS then you might be living dangerously. Someone was banned from Todon for being "pro-israel". But at least they were told the exact reason and had the option of finding another instance.
