My Synapse/Matrix media cache got to be too big for my Nanode, so I figured I could just plunk the media_cache folder onto a Linode volume instead of upping my entire Linode plan.Synapse keeps saying the volume is a read-only filesystem though. The permissions are all set right and other non-elevated users can write to the partition. AileenLast night as I was helping someone with a new Linux installation, I ended up becoming extremely frustrated with the Matrix client Riot again. Responsible password management was an ongoing theme throughout the evening, but we were making good progress until we hit a major stumbling block with the keys for an encrypted Riot channel. There have been a few situations where using an encrypted Riot channel has made sense, but I still don't think it works well.
