I’m so tired of learning on a regular basis that the products that the corporations in America sell us for wellness contain a bunch of lead.

And please don’t look at this and think “well yeah, it’s a supplement. Nobody regulates those.” You are right, but you know what else turned up with a bunch of lead in it this year? The Walmart brand Metamucil. Sure I guess that’s a supplement too, but it’s enough of a medical product that doctors tell people to drink that every day.

If people were buying orange flavor equate Metamucil and drinking it every day they were exceeding the safe amount of lead consumption daily.

Imagine giving your child a whole bunch of substances, without knowing, how each affects them individually, how sensitive they are to that substance, how those substances might interact and who may be unable to articulate how they are/feel affected and who can't refuse.

This is a form of abuse and people would care much more about it, if "normal human" children would be affected, instead of disabled "defective objects".

I don’t begrudge any dude for getting into self improvement. Working on making yourself better is amazing and empowering. But the current brand of male self improvement is bad news

Can my fellow men please find more balance between the supplements and gym time with picking up a history book and working on mental health?
