Well, hello there, spring!
Blooming Magnolia(?) on the Washington College campus.
I forgot to post this yesterday, but my dear Washington College has a tradition for May Day:
Episode #2 of the #WashingtonCollege Flock to Faculty podcast is live. This time I talk to Caddie Putnam-Rankin, the chair of the Business Management Department. She's brilliant, naturally.
Find it on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or here: https://www.radiofreegeorge.com/podcasts
The inaugural episode of Flock to Faculty has gone live today.
Flock to Faculty is a podcast where I interview members of the faculty here at Washington College. The first episode is with Dr. Rachel Durso, the chair of the Sociology Department and specialist in criminology and kayaking.
Find the podcast on your app of choice or through an rss feed. Links here:

Washington College is doing an English Country Dancing Class this spring. Fortunately, the militia isn't encamped in town (thanks, constitution), but I fully expect a man of good fortune to be properly entangled in misunderstandings and romance.
Washington College is hiring! Assistant Professor of French Tenure Track - Chestertown, MD

I realized I don't have a nice pinned #introduction post, so let's do that. (How many hashtags I can squeeze in?)
I'm an associate prof of #Chinese #Language and #Literature at #WashingtonCollege in #Chestertown, MD in the US. I mainly work on #Translation, #Narrative, and #Satire. Because I'm at a #SLAC, I teach just about everything, including #film, #志怪 #Strange, and hopefully starting next year, a class in Narrative in #VideoGames
