@AimeeMaroux @burnoutqueen basically everyone I know would at least do some sort of "#CommunityService" if their existance wasn't dependent on #WageWork, even if it's just some simple #MutualAid as in helping some seniors by carring their groceries up the 2nd floor or driving someone to/back from a doctor's office if they feel shit or get put under for some reason and thus can barely coordinate their own movements, much less bike home on their own.

@greycat @godpod EXACTLY!

And they should only be paid for the time they are actually working, not a second more!

Also every kind of income should be taxed like #WageWork and #BuyBorrowDie needs to be criminalized as illegal #TaxDodging and #SocialSecurityFraud!

Continued thread

If I didn't need a #car for #WageWork I'd not spend ~ €2.150 p.a. just for the dubious "privilegue" of being legally allowed to drive it: And that's just insurance, tax, tech inspection and maintenance - that's not accounting for any down-payment or fuel or parking costs!

In fact, I'd rather love to have a #CabinScooter instead but sadly there ain't any in production...

@Binder +9001%

Noone has yet explained to me why Benzos, MiskRat & Co. should get #millons if not #billions of money yet they can't really "outwork" their employees on the floors to that extent, nor do they bear any personal risks that would rationalize that amount of compensation.

  • IOW: If someone isn't putting their life on the line to save lives like a firefighter, why should they get paid more than the #paygrade of a# firefighter?

What net benefit to society does a person bring who hoarded so much money that neither them nor their children or grandchildren will ever have to do #wagework in their entire lives??

@cek same problem and also bad.

  • By that logic all cops must disarm because having weapons on them is considered intent to harm and/or intimidate others...

All laws and decisions must he evaluated by their ability to oppress!

  • Thus money should be outlawed because it's intended to harm others by virtue of debt, socioeconomic pressing into #WageWork and exerting force if not violence over others!!!

If anyone, the people #staking #Ethereum and refusing to #rollback #TornadoCash despite being demonstrably able to do so when their own money is on the line should be in front of the judge!

  • Because it's one thing to make a knife and sell it to anyone vs. knowingly offer a knife to someone who has voiced their intention to stab someone to death with it!
Infosec.SpaceKevin Karhan :verified: (@kkarhan@infosec.space)@agreenberg@infosec.exchange It's interesting that they don't charge #Buterin and other key people that have #Staking power in #Ethereum'm #Blockchain and the #EVM that have both the power and capability to facilitate #rollbacks (as seen with #TheDAO) and thus undo #TornadoCash #transactions... Maybe it's because [the whole argument is bad and would essentially make the U.S. Mint liable for any crime paid for with U$D]( https://infosec.space/@kkarhan/112434430863210465 )...

@scottsantens nodds in agreement

If I didn't have to make rent with #WageWork, I'd still be a volunteer Firefighter [sadly had to quit due to work schedule being incompatible with training hours] and most likely start some business that would be impossible due to lack of funding to bridge months if not years of no high profitability, like some IT business focussed on repairable and maintainable tech...

@thoughtpunks IMHO the #unequal #taxation of #income types is #ClassWarfare.

There's no non-classist asnwer to the question of "Why do #Billionaires not have to contribute the same if not more in both % and total amount of #taxes and fees than any #WageWorker?"

It's not as if prople like #Bezos can't get sick, become unable to work or manage their funds nor that they ain't also #extracting #wealth from #society...

#BuyBorrowDie should be illegal and #CaoitalGains should be taxed higher than #WageWork of equal payout!

@JessTheUnstill OFC!

Everyone who is doing #WageWork is #Working class, whether they're in the global soith and can barely make $1 a day or someone who can make $1k in an hour.

The problems are caused by the #Billionaires that live off #RoboWealth and decided to try to turn meritless and unfairly gained (NOONE can become a #Billionaire through hard and fair labour - that's just not possible!) #wealth into something to use as a club and weapon against the "lesser" and unprivilegued...
