Talk me out of building a #Neo4j implementation in parallel to my existing #PostgreSQL DB (with a subset of tables as nodes) for queries that tend to be "graph-like" in nature.

In particular, I'm thinking of failure analysis, predictive maintenance, etc in relation to physical infrastructure I model as a directed acyclic graph.

Is this just my #ADHD wanting to try something new, or could I actually find value in this side-quest? 😬

The other day, I was still sleeping and my unconscious mind sensed something dropping to the floor. It instantly woke me up and yelled, "I'm up!"

It was what I used to do as a teen when my dad screamed at me to get up for school. Because if I lingered too long in bed, he would drag me out of it or put a wet washcloth on my face.

It's like, "Ohhhhh, wooooow...that's a trauma response. That's not good, is it?"

He wasn't even that violent, but apparently the screaming was enough to trigger my fawning response.

My wife and son are biking on the northern shore of Lake Michigan, along the southern coast of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She just texted me this picture of a storm rolling across the lake. It’s the biggest she’s ever seen in her life. (Which is saying something; she grew up on Lake Michigan, and we spend lots of time there every summer, along different parts of the Michigan shoreline.) hotter summers, bigger storms. #climate #uhoh

#TIL that at some point Apple implemented `-primary` and `-secondary` flags to `apfs createContainer` which allows you to create a logical volume that lives on multiple disks attached to the system.

now i get to find out if this is suitable for fail-over because that machine happens to be SPRAYING filesystem errors on another drive which is why i'm creating another container. #uhoh but seriously i can newfs anything and be fine.
