Feeling semi proud that I got the idea of placing the old nest in the bush where the current sunbirds couple likes to hang out. Seeing them peck at the old nest and fly the bits that they have from it to the new nest is really satisfying

After the sunbird couple left with their chick, another pair promptly moved in days later. The chick has finally hatched and I can its squeaks each time the parents come around to feed it.
I wonder if there's some kind of word of mouth/Craig's list thing going with the sunbirds because I don't exactly advertise my nest and it's in a hidden part of my balcony
The birb is either laying an egg or sitting on an egg or meditating about life's deepest secrets. Definitely do not have smartphone addiction, this one.
Bird nest building in full swing! I see two of them together sometimes, hopping about the branches of my garden plants. So cute.
They go back and forth a few times a day, and at night they go somewhere else to sleep. Once they shift in I would have to be very careful not to scare them!
I thought Hummingbirds lived everywhere, but I recently learned they only live in the Americas.
Turns out the brightly colored avian nectarivores in Africa & Asia are Sunbirds!
Europeans don't have either, though they do have the Hummingbird Hawk-Moth which is also a very cool looking creature
