Ancestry Roads

While researching a lovely little #town, #Maysville #Georgia (we almost bought a house there), I stumbled upon an #Appalachian #Notable #Folklore #Artist: Mattie Lou O'Kelly.

After researching her a bit more, I created a profile for her on #WikiTree. It needs a lot of improvement so if anyone wants to help me out, please do!

There have been some weird bugs in #KDEPlasma 6, most of them harmless, some annoying, but this one is funny.

While playing music in #Spotify, for some reason certain apps which has no (possibility of) sound playing showed the "audio playing" icon on the app icon in the dock/panel.

In my screenshot - the affected apps (other than Spotify) were #Signal and #MarkText (#Firefox actually had audio playing, so not affected by the bug). Clueless why this is even happening lol.

Update: This bug isn't exclusive to Spotify btw, for example, even #Discord audio would make #KDE Plasma think apps like Signal and #Joplin have audio playing too (when they don't).

My only observation is those affecting, and affected, are all #X11 apps - tho it doesn't affect absolutely all X11 apps that are currently running such as #WhatsApp, #VSCode, and #Notable (not sure if there's a trend there to identify what's the cause).

I hope this is a known bug cos as with most bugs I encounter, I have no idea how to report any useful information that is #GitHub or #GitLab "worthy" iykwim.

What's a good (preferably simple) #Markdown note-taking editor? I've been using #Notable for years and thought I should start looking for alts. Ideal points, coming from Notable:

- Preferably #FOSS and either in active development or is in a stable/mature state
- Supports exporting to PDF
- Supports Markdown preview
- Synchronised scrolling between the editor and preview
- Easy to move between notes using only keyboard
- Bonus if like Notable, has a public link share feature to quickly share notes for viewing on browser

Oops, I did it! Hallo Notable! 🙋‍♀️

Man soll ein Pferd ja nicht mitten im Rennen wechseln und daher hatte ich meinen hier angekündigten Umstieg vom langsam in die Jahre gekommenen MacDown (Mac only) zu Notable (Windows, macOS, Linux) erst einmal verschoben. @trashheap @hypolite Ideed, the Right Thing To Do™ is do handle everything according to the guidelines and not picking up topics, like nazis or lefties or specific colored flowers.
These articles shall be deleted not because they are about nazis but because they are generally not #notable. Or of they are, they should be kept, regardless of the #nazis.

Den #Markdown- und Notiz-Editor #Notable hatte ich vor gut zwei Jahren schon einmal auf dem Schirm, ihn dann aber nicht eingesetzt, weil er damals noch keine Fußnoten konnte. Heute vormittag kam er mir zufällig wieder unter und ich habe die aktuelle Version kurz angetestet.
