Zum Wochenende: Rotten Rolling Releases?
Halten Rolling-Releases länger als LTS-Releases? Dieser Artikel stellt Thesen auf, liefert aber keine Antworten.

#Qt 6.5.5 #LTS #OpenSource has been released (#QtOpenSource / #QtLTS / #QtFramework / #QtGroup / #TheQtCompany / #QtProject / #Trolltech / #Digia) https://www.qt.io/
The dev is about to merge it under the #uBlue namespace. So no, it will persist in some form.
Keep in mind that auto-updates are always a thing, uBlue has a really good implementation while #Fedora and probably HeliumOS dont yet.
UBlue has started with #Bluefin #LTS based on #CentOS Stream 10 #CS10 too, but with the #GNOME desktop. HeliumOS uses #KDE (#EPEL) so a merge (like done with #Aurora earlier) makes sense.

Similar situation is on Rocky #Linux; some (low|mid severity security) fixes eventually become available.
Price of "long term support" #LTS
Virtual threads are lightweight threads that dramatically reduce the effort of writing, maintaining, and observing high-throughput concurrent applications.

@cwansart IMO, the answer is no, as it depends more on many other factors. E.g. I have seen often enough that things are sometimes no longer fixed in #debian. It could even be that with rolling releases you get a fix earlier than the #backport for an #lts version is ready.
Of course, #distribution also plays a role, but I think it is more important to keep the #attackvectors as low as possible, i.e. to keep the system as minimal as possible. Fewer packages mean fewer potential #vulnerabilities.
#AlpineLinux 3.21: Lean, mean, and #LoongArch-ready
Alpine #Linux follows closely upon the release of a new #LTS kernel version: 6.12
Alpine 3.21 has a raft of other updates along with the kernel: updated development tools including .NET 9, and new desktops including KDE Plasma 6.2, LXQt 2.1, and GNOME 47
The version before this one, Alpine 3.20, added #RISCV back in May. Now, it gains another: the quite #MIPS-like Chinese #Loongson

#AMD #EPYC 9755 Performance On The #Linux 6.11 & 6.12 Kernel
In many of the larger, real-world workloads there were minimal to small changes while in more of the micro-benchmarks and other focused areas there were some nice gains observed with Linux 6.11/6.12. With Linux 6.12 expected to be this year's LTS kernel version, it will find use by hyperscalers and other large organizations that tend to jump between the #LTS kernel versions.
