So, Psychology Today is encouraging the public to doubt the existence of #bisexual and bi+ #men even in 2024.

Alan Cummings has always staunchly been #BiSexual which I am very grateful for.

Still he is the very first #BiSexual icon to be the cover model for this magazines #Pride issue.

I think it is the moral duty of everyone, not just members of the #LGBTQIA+, to shut down #bitotry wherever it occurs. Don't be afraid to speak out when you can do safely.

The more people do this, the harder it is to be bigoted in public.

As this is the International Day Against #Homophobia, #Transphobia & #Biphobia, here's my obligatory post saying that biphobia is the overlooked one of these 3. It's a consequence of #monosexism, the system of power that makes the experiences of people who are attracted to just one gender more valid, and gives them power at our expense.

Today in LGBTQ History, May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). This date was chosen to commemorate the 1990 decision to remove homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO). In 2009, the WHO added transphobia to the name of the campaign, and organized activities that year to highlight and end. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of violence, discrimination, and repression of LGBT communities throughout the world.

Good. The state #oppression of gay people and #LGBTQ+ people in general must be condemned and ended worldwide. Only then can true #freedom be achieved.

Of course, the law did not JUST target gay people. "#Homosexual acts" were illegal so #bisexual people were not off the hook. #Homophobia almost always implies #biphobia and other -phobias.
