I'd like to learn to darn a sock - just saw a video m.youtube.com/watch?v=DOmm8HL5 about how to make a patch using a Speedweve Style Mending Loom and that seems fun. I'd like to try it out before I buy a bunch of stuff. Anyone in have one and interested in letting me try theirs out? Or maybe I could check whether one of the NYC makerspaces has one I could try.

@aparrish maybe you have some advice or tools you could lend?

@brainwane i have not tried a mending loom but have always wanted to! i have tried weave darning without a loom youtu.be/Xaq3kwHGbDk?si=q1jLOM but that would probably be tricky on a sock, since the (presumably) knit fabric would be so stretchy
