In the context of US labor relations, with low union density and other anti-worker conditions, where do you see more informal/wildcat labor organizing happening? I've been noticing this increasingly through things like:
- Text message groups
- Loosely coordinated slowdowns
- Disability/accommodations
- Political positioning/petitioning
What else? Do these point in any future directions for more just labor relations?
@ntnsndr Don't forget forming worker co-ops, either from scratch or by converting an exiting business. Worker-owners are labor.
@Steve Absolutely. I would just consider that more of a formal method of building worker power, and here I'm specifically asking about informal methods—ones more at the level of behavior that don't present themselves as seeking labor power but implicitly are doing that.
