NerotiskNostalgia pt 4: This was the second studio we had in <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Bhuset?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bhuset</a> at <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/InstitutForX?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#InstitutForX</a> the setup was pretty basic, though we did get hold of the old <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/soundcraft?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#soundcraft</a> mixer used at The Danish Opera house in <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/copenhagen?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#copenhagen</a>... The state of it was pretty bad, but the channels that did work sounded great👌👍😅Fun fact – we had sound engineer from Ghana, fixing it at one point. He used a magic combo of motoroil and sunscreen, which did actually work for a while... Though the smell was grim🤣😱😅<br>

I was having trouble getting my #guitar tone the way I wanted it. Especially the highs were sounding thin and metallic, instead of the warm twangy sound I wanted.
Yesterday I saw a Boss Katana 50 MkII at a pawn shop, and after some research offered $160 for it.
Best $160 I have spent in a long time! This thing is absolutely fantastic and effortlessly gives me the tone I wanted.
Also, the feature set is quite astounding and I could figure most of it out right away.
