Is it possible for the designers of the #tootcommunity or those of the #Mastodon desktop layout to make the #boost button more distinctive after boosting? Right now it is light grey on dark grey, and I have a large cursor, so that i can hardly see whether I did boost the toot or not.

We're excited to announce that the version containing the enhanced search feature is now up and running on #tootcommunity.

1. Go to Preferences > Privacy & Reach.

2. Find the option "Include posts in search results."

3. Toggle it on to make your posts searchable across the Fediverse.

That's it!

The system is currently indexing available posts. While this process is ongoing, you should be able to start exploring interesting content through search in just a matter of hours.

Good news, #tootcommunity members! The third beta of Mastodon v4.2.0 is bringing a much-anticipated feature: Search!

Here's the best part: You get to choose whether your posts are searchable across the Fediverse or not. The default setting is off, ensuring your privacy is respected.

Starting in Mastodon 4.2, full-text search will include posts from users who opt-in. This means your posts can be searchable not just on our instance but across other Mastodon instances as well.
