Finally got my HF radio antenna back up at home after a few weeks down on the ground following Cyclone Alfred.

No it wasn't damaged, just it was taken down a few days before Alfred's arrival to prevent damage, and we only just got around to getting it back up this afternoon.

There are some rather close tree branches, but just trying it as a receive antenna… I've got Radio New Zealand coming in loud and clear on 13690kHz AM.

I'm using the FT-897D's general coverage receiver to pick this up.

China Radio International were also coming in loud (as they often do).
