A 4 foot wide raised bed is a lot bigger than the 3 foot ones. I got the two pepper beds finished. They are each 8 feet long. Just need to open up the poly sheeting and and dig a bit of the good dirt out so it's flat or dished and then stack some sticks in the bottom, or cardboard, or both.

I planted a couple of lettuce stumps too that were regrowing in the lower right bed, and put some stakes next to some peas.

Excited to see my seed order from Prairie Garden Seeds in Canada arrive. Got a photogenic assortment of dry peas (used in soups) and other legumes.

Species like peas do great in western WA and in much of Canada, thanks to the relatively cool climate.

Can't wait to plant these and see how they do!

Planted a row of peas, two rows of beets, six patches of radish, one of spinach, and one of arugula. The patches I just broadcast the seed and 5 fingered it in and tamped. It can be thinned. Skipped the other cleaned bed for now and the frozen end beyond the arugula since it has some grass that needs cleaned out when it thaws.
