Oh bugger off Adobe, I swear if I didn’t need Photoshop for work I’d never use your bloatware again! Seriously, what’s the need for all these ridiculous processes that resurrect themselves when killed?
Just in case you use #littlesnitch on #macos and virtualise using #utm. UTM bypasses little snitch, so all the #virtualmachines in utm are not affected by the rules you set in little snitch.
The opposite is #parallels, it costs money, but doesn't bypass little snitch.
Thank you for putting Little Snitch #littlesnitch on sale for #blackfriday
I tried the trial a few months back and liked the software.
Finally upgraded from LittleSnitch 5 to 6, thanks BlackFriday :)
Trying to understand how notarization by #Apple for apps downloaded outside #AppStore works and what the benefits are: They are scanned for known malware, but that doesn’t mean you are protected against e.g. data exfiltration? Like a text editor that open files locally but also sends them to a cloud server.
This is where #LittleSnitch is a possible solution. But what if the app wants to access something on Cloudflare? How could to tell if that’s a benign connection or not?
@littlesnitch As a long time and happy user of #LittleSnitch, I welcome you on board
#DNS is a #privacy minefield. Here's my best shot at charting a safe course through.

Little Snitch users, do you leave the native MacOS firewall enabled, too?
Feel free to let me know why, regardless of your choice.
@tcurdt not a mac user at all, but, isn't this a good thing?
In fact, it's kinda weird that apps started with the terminal would bypass the permission check.
I used to run #LittleSnitch to achieve the same effect.
Have you heard about the polyfill supply chain hack? Beyond blocking polyfill[.]io, you can boost your security with Little Snitch by subscribing to a blocklist. The “HaGeZi Multi” blocklist, for example, covers polyfill[.]io and associated domains such as bootcdn[.]net. Stay protected with real-time updating blocklists!

@peternlewis @chockenberry First thing I did after reading about the whole story was to block #Bartender communication through #LittleSnitch. I'm willing to give them a chance to explain and regain some level of trust, but needless to say I’m concerned too…
I really like the fresh interface design of LittleSnitch v6 but I miss the old propeller hat app icon :-(
I have a new rule !
When I get a notification for a new version, I will scan the release notes for #AI .
If it's clear from that term, I will continue reading.
Congrats to #LittleSnitch 6.0 release notes for passing that test !

@Tender I don't use the cloud either. Except for photos I deliberately decide to share with others, all my files stay offline. On my Mac, connections to iCloud, CreativeCloud etc. are blocked with #LittleSnitch.
My culling routine is basically just browsing through the OOC JPGs from the SD card and later opening the RAF versions of the photos I liked. I'm used to it and it doesn't require additional software, however I wouldn't recommend this routine to anyone as it's painfully inefficient.
