I still don't like the graphics of #DaveTheDiver, it's just not my style - BUT... god is it a really good #game. This gameplay loop of semi-therapeutic/semi-stressful scavenging for resources, followed by something short and sweet that clearly puts your "progress" at the forefront for you to relish that we're seeing more and more of in games really gotta be studied.
This has always been the case for #HarvestMoon like #games such as #StardewValley (tho, in a much slower, stretched out pace), and as far as games I've played it's clearly present in #CultOfTheLamb and now Dave the Diver. It's somewhat present in #MinecraftLegends too but I'd say the effect is a lot more dilute (cos it's too repetitive and seemingly has less progression). Need more fast paced yet chill games like this in my life.

Reina's generic voice like is an "OoOOohhhh" that is like a female Beedle and I can't deal honestly
The graphics aren't suuuuper high quality tbh, but I'm pretty impressed with how they've done in 3D a pretty good job of replicating the very anime + sorta western cartoony at times aesthetic of the original Harvest Moon series. Like a game with this budget doing this art style in 3D on say, PS2 or even PS3 would look like shit
3D anime style in general was kinda ass until PS4 really, unless you had squeenix budget

Been too long since I enjoyed a good harvest moon esque game (story of seasons Olive Town. Only on day 7)
I like that it's a bit simpler, even has an easy mode. Maybe I just burnt out, but with the first ps2 one I felt there was just too much going on and I couldn't shut off the minmax part of my brain
The 3ds one was pretty eh too
