Today's mental health exercise:
I invested some time and blocked some (N=13) rude GTK devs from my life. Fediverse, Github, Gitlab, Codeberg, and their emails were added to spam list.
Before this I only had ever blocked 3 people in my entire online life, but today I felt it is necessary for my own peace of mind to do this cleansing.
Less rude and self-centered egomaniac people in life would definitely improve life quality. 
Now back to my research

GTK 4.18.3 is now available; this is a bug fix release of the stable branch of GTK, including fixes for Vulkan, accessibility, introspection annotations, HiDPI GL rendering on Windows, and macOS event handling.

I recently opened a PR for FontForge (https://github.com/fontforge/fontforge/pull/5546), which introduces a GTK3-based UI in a very limited manner.
If you have a Mac and a bit of spare time, I would be really grateful to receive some feedback on its performance on macOS.

Is @gnome Keyring as well-maintained as @keepassxc? Is it worth switching from GNOME Keyring to KeePassXC for storing secrets and keys?
Estaba teniendo problemas con el renderizado de fuentes en aplicaciones GTK en KDE Plasma en Manjaro.
Por ejemplo con Remmina o Syncthing-GTK.
Las fuentes se veían pixeladas, como si no tuviesen suavizado o directamente no soportasen el escalado de la fuente.
La solución que he encontrado es la siguiente:
- Si tienes instalado el paquete `xdg-desktop-portal-gnome`, elimínalo.
- Instalar el paquete `xdg-desktop-portal-gtk` y reiniciar.
Si esto no funciona, prueba con las fuentes Noto Sans en la configuración de fuentes de KDE (Preferencias del sistema > Texto y tipos de letra > Tipos de letra).

Turns out that if you have structured your file handling code correctly from the start, then implementing drag and drop is actually easier than anticipated.

I'm absolutely stuck on Windows building #Gtk GResource source into a CPP project.
Is anyone an expert?
The problem is that including the code causes MINGW gcc linker to delete the entire of the rest of the project except for the gresource souce, so it obviously won't link with everything missing.
I have no idea why gnu would choose to destroy everything. I would have preferred a build error.
(it doesn't help I don't have a windows machine)

Oh man, Apostrophe app in Flathub is really awesome. I just wish it had a folder or vault workspace and a graph view like Obsidian. *phew*
I dream of a world where #Gtk developers work just as hard as #Qt developers to ensure that applications designed for the other environment fit into theirs just as well.
If you use #LibreOffice or #Firefox on #Kde #Plasma, you won't feel at all like you're using an application designed for another environment.
If you're using #KeePassXC or #VirtualBox in a #Gtk environment, you can't help but notice the poor integration...

I've been beta testing and dogfooding at work the RC of @cartero, which I intend to release later today, and I got to say that the enhancements added in #GTK 4.18 for the macOS port are incredible.
