Utter trash article from the #NYTimes about the #CFA #strike. A few vague quotes from a labor scholar that don't really address the CFA specifically, followed by three #CalState administration officials and only one quote from the CFA president. No mention of the real issue with salary--the demand for greater equity for lecturers and a range of other non-salary demands. Stunning BS.
#ChicoState's campus was mostly dead today due to #CFA_united #strike across the #CalState system during first day of Spring semester. Here's my office tower, where no classes took place!
When the #ChicoState chapter of the California Faculty Association (#CFA_United) goes on #strike this coming week (Jan 22-26), we'll be holding daily, noon-time "encuentros" (rallies), with open-mics to talk about #issues. A march/action will follow!
