                NELSON, 21st March.
  The aquatic proclivities of the #youth of this city are always to the fore in the summer months. Canvas #canoes used to be much in evidence, both on the river and harbour, and were nearly all constructed by the boys themselves, some of them exhibiting great skill, both in design and workmanship, and when the tides were high the fleet used to leave its rendezvous—the river—and adventure on the harbour, and in some cases out on the open bay. Various were the means of propulsion… the mosquito fleet would be found in units all over the harbour bobbing on the waves, and, to the astonishment of the boat and yachtsmen frequently passing them…. Seldom, if ever, was an accident reported, and as the tide receded the fleet again reassembled in the river.… this summer… the graceful canoe seems to be superseded by a multitude of tiny craft of a type similah [sic] to a wharf construction punt.… Our Iron Duke Sea Scouts, who recently won Lord Jellicoe’s trident, were, no doubt, recruited from this perennial band of adventurers.

I'd group "Men's Rights Activists" as disinGenderous, from the word disingenuous.
It means doing an act to be *observed* doing it ('Activism' to center anti-misogyny on men's feelings), not its expected intent (upholding Men's human Rights).

I use MRAs to mean anyone using misogyny to sell shit, not "ACTUALLY trying to improve life for men and masculine people". thecalmzone.net/our-story

e.g. The UK has a charity called Campaign Against Living Miserably focused on dudes' mental health. They're not MRAs.
Like 'scientology' could be useful to describe the meta analysis of how we apply scientific methods more broadly, -- like historiography --- but instead just means a SciFi writer's post-death ponzi scheme.

Well this time I decided to investigate the Manosphere. The cult mentality of Red Pill think, how they monetise it, the narrative they are selling to their followers, and how this can result in some young men being funnelled into the alt-right pipeline.

I looked into influencers like Fresh and Fit, Kevin Samuels, Rich Cooper, Anthony Dream Johnson of the 21 Convention, Donovan Sharpe, Roosh V, Owen Cook and Julien Blanc to weave together how they are selling the ‘alpha male’ dream to their followers - some of whom will end up classing themselves as incels, after realising that the ‘foolproof’ pickup artist game techniques don’t work for them.

And they’re all having their misogynistic ideas backed up by the one and only Jordan B Peterson, of course.
