Time for my #introduction. I've been in #UXDesign for 40 years, working at Apple in the 80s, Symbian, Google, and frogdesign.
I'm convinced we're stuck in our #UX ways, not seeing desktop, mobile, or ML for what they could be.
#OpenSource is a profoundly positive force, if we could just figure out how to work together on #UXDesign problems.
I'm semi-retired, looking for ways to push things forward as well as give back.

Howdy~ I'm new to Mastadon (from twitter). A way to give back & utilize your UX xp is to advocate for more accessibility. Users with vision, hearing, & cognitive issues are left out of the loop.
Just seeing you make hashtags more legible and screen reader friendly (1st letter capital for each word) is a welcome sign
@kathologist Hello, nice to emeet you! As a #UX designer, it's so easy to see the need for all of this. I'm not the expert needed to solve problems like #moderation, but I do hope to help build a clear articulation of the problem. We only get solutions if the community wants it.
However, a11y is something I've addressed often in my career and the solutions usually aren't that hard. Not pursuing them is just frustrating.
