@derek Having spent years on Twitter, it's my impression that there were more bots than people there, and by a large margin. I think the most argumentative people were sitting in chairs in front of dozens of cellphones, posting supplied translations.

@steter My hypothesis is that the algorithm played a role in engagement, too. I seem to recall reading an article that stated links that would take people off X were/are de-prioritized

@derek Somehow I missed that one, and I immediately believe it's true, lol. I have a low opinion of Jack & Elon's plaything these days.
