My suggestion if you want the Fediverse to work, follow and favorite and boost the absolute hell out of people. It’s not about dopamine or clout chasing, it’s about letting people know they’re not just typing into a void.
@jsit It’s surprising how many people don’t get this. There’s no algorithm. It’s not about chasing likes etc. It’s about actually having to… well, be social on social media. Who’d have thought.
@Howard Personally I think it’s ok if people chase likes or apps build algorithms. I was just saying you have to let people know their posts are reaching people so that they stick around and continue to post.
