I know ther is another ADHD drug that pwLC have been using off label with some success. Can’t remember which one. (Not vyvanse or adderall).

My brain fog issues have been cyclical for over 5 years now. So is Wellbutrin definitely helping, or would I have just been in an upswing anyway, I cannot say for sure. Just happy to have some clarity at this point.

A couple of times, I was actually too productive and ended up crashing the next day. So I have to be careful (as always) about how much I do.

I’ve been at 200mg for about 4 months now and not only has my short term focus improved, but my other LC brain damage issues have improved as well. My brain fog, memory, and processing speed are much better. I can read for longer periods of time. Music still hurts my head though.

Personal anecdote re #LongCovid:

I’ve been taking Wellbutrin for a number of months to improve focus for presumed ADHD. (I took a test but it came up inconclusive. I don’t want to take the test again because it triggered a LC flare.) Anyhoo, at first I didn’t think the medication was doing much. My dosage was slowly titrated up. When I got to 200mg, I suddenly noticed a significant improvement in focus for several hours a day.

The #Zepbound at 2.5mg has also made my appetite much more normal. And my mood is greatly improved. My body feels less inflamed as well and the constant low-level pain I've had for many years is greatly decreased.

I'm even sleeping through the night and not waking up until my alarm. I haven't done that in at least 12 years. Various sleep aids I've tried over the years have never had this result.

I'm still not quite ready to resume exercising but I feel like I might be able to soon. #LongCOVID

I saw my sleep medicine doc yesterday for my annual check-in about my extremely severe sleep apnea (I've got one of the worst cases any of the various sleep doctors I've been to have ever seen). They boosted my pressures a little bit and I'm going to have an overnight pulse oximetry study soon to see if my O2 saturation is going too low at night as a result of still recovering from #LongCOVID

I'm 3 weeks into #Zepbound and it is nothing short of miraculous for lifting brain fog and sleep.

Just went to the "Live Well" team induction meeting thing, they're a service for folks living with #LongCovid and other #ChronicIllness and I am really pleasantly surprised at the compassion and willingness to find ways to support people, even if they can't attend the official things they're running.

It seems like a really great service - and they employ folks with lived experience to inform it!

I came across this tool in which you can calculate your risk of going to the hospital or developing long(er) term symptoms due to your next Covid infection. It's not perfect (there are a couple of risk increasing illnesses missing in the list) but interesting nonetheless:

I think this is important.

Certain cytokines (IL 17 family) can increase sociability and cause anxiety, depending on which region of the brain they act.

We live in an anxiety crisis that got worse and worse since 2020.

The great majority of the population caught Covid 19 since 2020.
