one of the security guards at my office addresses me as “boss” which I understand is typically reserved for menfolk

today (after a few months in this role) the same guard said “you’re a busy guy”

so apparently he thinks I’m actually a man and that’s how I earned these male honorifics

So, there’s another gender ambiguous person in this office

the 2nd time we met, they told me their name (which I immediately forgot) and I said I really liked their new haircut - a lot shorter than before and it really compliments their style

We have the same build, coloring, height, and androgynous vibe but they’re *fashionable* whereas I am not

Anygays, I don’t know their pronouns but we share that I see you, famsilent greeting whenever we cross paths and it is glorious #genderfuckery

Hypothesis: Greg, who has only “met” me by phone and email, will change his behavior toward me when he sees how my appearance doesn’t match gendered assumptions he has based on my voice
