Avec leurs images bouleversantes qui remontent du plus profond de la mémoire et ouvrent au-delà de toute vie, les peintures de Katayoun évoluent sous le signe secret d'un monde immémorial, dont elle garde l'héritage sous forme de traces, d'échos, de retentissements intérieurs et de résonances, autant d'appels auxquels elle ne peut se soustraire.
Des souvenirs de moments qui n'ont pas été réellement vécus, mais qui aspirent à vivre dans un flux de reprises, de recommencements, de rebondissements, de sursauts, sans se laisser fixer ou prendre dans les rets trop serrés de la représentation. Ce sont des apparitions éphémères, vacillantes, et enjouées, des sources de possibles et de désir, infiltrées depuis « I'enfance de la création »
L'art, c'est l'enfance, voilà. L'art, c'est ne pas savoir que le monde existe déjà, et en faire un. Non pas détruire ce qu'on trouve, mais simplement ne rien trouver d'achevé. Rien que les possibilité, Rien que des désirs. Et tout à coup être accomplissement, être un été, avoir du soleil. Sans en parler, involontairement. Ne jamais parfaire. Ne jamais air de septième jour.

One more day of wild fire at the gallery.
