I want to note for myself that I'm feeling very good today. I picked a couple things to work on and using meditation techniques I transitioned into them quickly.

When I felt myself falling into comparison I pushed myself to focus on a difficult question to redirect my mind.

I also allowed myself plenty of time to think and wander in my mind. It's been very good.

I took the Clifton Strengths Finder test and got this top 5 result. 4/5 suggest "schedule ample thinking time"

For the next week I'm going to try an experiment. I'm going to articulate here what I'm learning through experimentation, even if it's learning what not to do.

This thread will contain those posts.

The idea is to decondition a long-standing habit to view effort with unintended results as a "failure" rather than a successful session of learning and discover. I want to replace expectation with curiosity. By documenting it I hope to reinforce the habit.
