A few days ago I shared a 6 vol serial novel from Fawcett in '97. This is the set that inspired it, from Signet in '96. Note, the first vol of this 1st ed, 1st print set is embossed in silver. Later printings were embossed, but plain white. The other volumes are not embossed. This set is available here, now!

All time is hard to say.
When Bruno crawls under the fence in Auschwitz to join Shmuel in #TheBoyInStripedPajamas hits pretty hard.
The whole John Coffey execution scene is pretty rough as well as it's played so procedurally in #TheGreenMile
Just finished #TheGreenMile by #StephenKing. It's old, but I stumbled on the set in a thrift store and thought I might fit them in during my off hours. Turns out it was just the right time to #read this one. The thing that always gets me about Stephen King is how he fits these grains of universal truth in #horror that is, above all else, entertaining. This time, the line was, "...I learned a terrible thing: sometimes there is absolutely no difference at all between salvation and damnation."
