Need a thing, make a thing.

Cobbling together some of those ubiquitous shelf pegs for #3Dprinting. Found some on #Printables, but I'm rarely satisfied with off-the-shelf designs.

Invariably I'll change a few cosmetic things, but also:

a) hobbyist 3D designers often don't chamfer their corners for cleaner and stronger prints.

b) Many have excessive vertices. Simpler is better for finding errors, accepting future mods and printing fast.

So some rework done. Test printing diff orientations.

Just started my first print using the #Prusa3D #EasyPrint cloud slicing thingy and it was actually... fine. Just a simple enclosure for an ESP32, didn't need any fancy settings or modifications and it was quick and clean. It probably won't be my "daily slicer" but I can definitely see how it can be helpful in some situations (and I will probably continue to use it in situations where I just need to print something quickly from #Printables). #3dprinting

#Printables the platform from @josefprusa blocks content that speaks out against enemies of democracies by falsely flagging that content as NSFW permanently! I'm in contact with the support for more then 3 months now and even they agree the Nazis are still able to falsely flag it again with false reports. But now i'm not able to remove the false flag myself anymore, blocking the content from the free web for weeks at the time. Do something @josefprusa! #noAFD #fckafd #FCKNZS #democracy

3D Printers, I’m debating my workflow for publishing models that I’ve designed and I’m curious…

When downloading multi-part assemblies for printing, where do you go first to get a model and would you rather download each piece individually or a complete model you can split in the slicer?

@3dprinting

I didn't have a crevice tool for my shop #vacuum, so I found something roughly the shape I wanted on #Printables and then altered it in various ways.

Spent a couple of hours on it because I envisage a few other attachments I'd like to make as well. Getting a good fit figured out will let me base the additional tools upon this piece.

It sucks… i mean it sucks up #workshop detritus quite well. It's rather loud in usage, which the cat is anticipating in this pic, I suspect.

I like to store my jigsaw sitting upright on a shelf rather than laying on its side. The quick release makes it easy to pop the blade out allowing that. But when I pick up the thing again I have to go get a blade from the tool cabinet.

This tiny #3Dprinted clip holds a blade so I can quickly grab and go. A minor thing but I like that it eliminates a step or two. Will share on #Printables.

(Probably only suitable for a DeWalt jigsaw.)

Youngest brother has put his first 3d model online for sale via Printables.

He's created a rather nice basket hilt collapsible rapier. The tip is rounded, as a safety measure. It's a fun piece to play (carefully) with, or would make a great cosplay piece.

He requires five sales before he can upload more models to the store. I honestly think he's done a fantastic job with this.

Fits on a Prusa MK4S and other similar printers.
