It’s great to hear a #NZPol politician respond intelligently and objectively to the global economic and trade crisis being caused by political and economic incompetence without cowering in fear of the irrational #POTUS like NZ PM #Luxon and foreign minister Winston Peters who both appear to be either very ignorant or compromised by the US.
@ArrestJK I’m old enough to remember #NZPol PM in waiting Chris #Luxon calling out NZ acting PM Chris Hipkins for daring to call for a ceasefire in #Gaza. Since becoming PM Luxon has remained uncritical of the #genocide being carried out by #Israel #US #Uk and the #EU making NZ complicit in these #WarCrimes.
Conclusion is #Luxon is an immoral coward.
Like coming across a horrific fatal road accident, feeling unable to look yet unable to look away, we sit here in faraway NZ watching the collapse and incredible destruction of #USA. It’s important to remember our current immoral #NZPol leadership and government remains shamefully loyal to the undemocratic demands of #USPol.
If we’re being honest, there’s no way #Luxon has ever been appointed on merit in any role he’s ever been given. He’s been awarded roles because he’s a YES man who is easily manipulated.

It appears #Luxon approved Bayly's leave at the time of his resignation. Climbing Mt Everest appears to be BS, Bayly's visiting base camp and returning to NZ next week... he's certainly no Edmond Hillary.
I assume the NZ taxpayers are still paying this disgraced abusive former minister while he seeks solace climbing Mt Everest.
Who the hell does #Luxon think he is pointing at the parents of kids living in poverty, telling them to take personal responsibility for their children when he won’t even take responsibility for his own ministers or incompetent #NZPol government?
Writing in the Listener, Duncan Garner offers a pretty good summary of PM Christopher Luxon, describing him as "the least effective PM in 30 years" and refers to "his lack of a spine".
"... he lacks authenticity, he looks and sounds out of touch when talking about poverty, cost-of-living issues or school lunches, and largely has nothing to say and seems to stand for even less."
Garner reckons Luxon's close to being rolled.
As I watch the decline of democracy, morality and governance of the people in USA under Trump and oligarchy rule I am seeing the same decline happening in #Aotearoa #NewZealand under the failed leadership of #Luxon controlled by #AtlasNetwork and other colonial powers.
The time has come for NZers to choose a new #NZPol direction, end this embrace of austerity and oligarchic rule remembering this Māori proverb. Māku e kii atu, he tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.
Interesting to note that #Luxon suggesting poor NZ kids should make a #Marmite sandwich considering Marmite is produced by #Sanitarium, a Seventh Day Adventist business that has a NZ tax exemption due to being a “Christian” company. For a #NZPol PM Luxon sure seems to like fundamental tax avoidance a lot.

#Luxon & his coalition of incompetents have such little faith in NZers with local knowledge and expertise everything they do aims to being controlled by uncommitted foreigners who aren’t responsible for NZ. This #NZPol government appears more committed to satisfying some #AtlasNetwork rather than the interests of NZ citizens.
No wonder those with skills & experience are leaving NZ in record numbers. This govt might not be here for long but the damage they’ve caused will be.
