Les safates Variera de #Ikea estan pensades per la cuina, però amb una mica d'imaginació poden ser uns suports rígids per a portàtils qur m'ajudin a mantenir una bona postura a la meva hejmoficejo (oficina a casa).

Dymo label maker and its tapes are now engridded.
The IKEA ALEX drawers are now 58% filled but only 9% gridfinitized. Need more bins! But the good news is, I only need to design and print three or four more holders to completely organize and store the pile of tools that's been sitting in the middle of the room since we moved in in 2022. Almost there...

@3dprinting Yesterday's STUBBARP foot is functional, but it looks goofy. Today I had the idea to redo it as two pieces. This thicker at the bottom shape with fuzzy skin matches the style of my LACK tables' feet.
I think I'm getting the hang of designing plastic parts that act like plastic.
The next step in the office organization project is an IKEA BESTÅ that is a smidge too low for the Roomba to get under. So I made a foot for its legs. It snaps on, stays on, and snaps off.
The square cutout on the bottom is for a nonslip rubber pad. The six small holes are to create columns of perimeter to stiffen the load bearing area.
Spousey has requested Gridfinity in one of her IKEA ALEX units now, too. She hasn't requested steel drawer liner.

I lined the drawers of this IKEA ALEX with 30 gauge* galvanized steel, as one does. Then I dropped in magnetized Gridfinity base plates. Each drawer is 14 by 10 Gridfinity units, though the back couple of rows are hard to access.
* 30 gauge = 0.305mm

Holy moly, that's a lot of Gridfinity base plates!
The enormity of this project is beginning to sink in.

Now I want to build a bigger one, with more frames!

I made a 12 frame zoetrope based on the Ikea salad spinner.

Tadaa. Schon geht das.
3D Printing: IKEA PS Endcaps
I put 2 of my IKEA PS cabinets on top of each other. To do this, I sawed off the legs of the top cabinet. Because I had done another project with the cabinet some time ago, I had of course wasted the end caps and needed new ones quickly. So I just designed a few replacement caps. Maybe someone else can use them, they fit all square tubes with an inner diameter of 17.5 mm and an outer diameter of 20 mm.
The endcaps at thingisverse.

New blog post about my IKEA cabinet indoor greenhouse build! https://daught.me/blog/2024/ikea-milsbo-greenhouse/
@3dprinting It took the entire day, like 12 hours, just to model this power supply cover. It doesn't look that hard, but it took a long time to collapse the infinite possibilities down to this one. It's on the printer now; I'll see if it fits in an hour.
@3dprinting I plan to put the printer's power supply outside the enclosure attached to one table leg. The bottom of the power supply will fit into a cradle, and a cap will slide down over the top of the PS to keep it stable. To remove, I'll just slide the top up and lift the PS out.
@3dprinting I am still working on the printer enclosure when I'm not traveling. Today I made a test piece that slides along an IKEA LACK leg. I put steel dowel pins on two sides for a tight but low-friction fit. It works better than expected.
