Good progress on the #dweb REST APIs and improvements to the #OpenAPI docs today, all with the help of #actix and #utoipa

A few days ago I knew nothing about these but now I have a working API that is documented and can be tested live while reading those docs.

Someone asked if I might support #GraphQL but I haven't looked into that. Convince me that I should!

6 years ago, #GitLab decided that they want to switch from REST to #GraphQL (corresponding epic: https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/1366, initial discussion took place 8 years ago: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-foss/-/issues/22753).

They are not done yet and still introduce bugs and performance issues because of that migration (recent example: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/513012).

I am not saying that GraphQL is bad in general but I have some doubts that this was a good decision.
