Trump issued #executiveorder opening up #Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument, which lies some 750 miles west of #Hawaii. President George W. Bush established the monument in 2009 and President Obama expanded it in 2014 to its current area of nearly 500,000 square miles.
The president said move was aimed at making the #UnitedStates the world’s “dominant #seafood leader.”

#Trump says he is opening Papahānaumokuākea National Marine Monument to commerical fishing. This huge restricted area in the Northwest Hawaiian Islands was protected by the Dubya admin in 2006.

Wednesday while fishing for the first time ever, I saw a pair of bald eagles on my home lake. I've heard reports of nesting pairs of eagles on nearby lakes, a recent phenomenon.

Why the change?

I believe we have cleaner water & better habitat.

People in power want to take us back to a time when the clean water & air didn't matterm. We can't let that happen.

I could be wrong, but I don't want to go backwards and find out.
