Tomorrow is Bi Visibility Day and we'll be releasing our interview with Hafsa Qureshi about the
importance of bi visibility, biphobic myths and assumptions and life as a genderqueer bi person. so stay tuned!

Today we're taking a look back at this article from a few years ago, 'What It Means to Be a Bisexual Trans Woman on #BiVisibilityDay': out.com/bisexuality/2019/9/23/

For #BiAwarenessWeek and upcoming #BiVisibilityDay : Some cute new figures of one of my favorite #Bicons - Harley Quinn!

There were those that were grumpy about the Birds of Prey movie because it didn't really track to the comic book versions of the characters and was more "the fantabulous emancipation of one Harley Quinn," but it is probably my favorite superhero movie still. It is written and directed with a female gaze that just feels so great.

The way Harley is styled throughout fits the character perfectly while looking like she dressed herself, rather than some of the outfits given to her by men in movies, comic books, and games. And her choreography fits an over-the-top, acrobatic fighting style that is very her, instead of generic action hero MMA. And Margot Robbie captures the bisexual disaster chaos of one of my favorite characters in a way I cherish 💖

Gunn's Suicide Squad seems to learn these lessons perfectly, while adding to her fantastical dissociative perspective

"Biphobia/monosexism happens when people behave in ways that question the legitimacy of bisexual relationships or even deny their existence. Our society often has a false notion that we can only be attracted to one gender or another."

This week is Bi Awareness Week, research suggests that 26% of trans people identify as bi or pan. To find out more about the impacts of biphobia and for support, take a look at this article, 'What is Biphobia?" here: choosingtherapy.com/biphobia/

This week is Bi Awareness Week, we'll be sharing more throughout the week.

In this article Clarkisha Kent shares an excerpt of her book, 'Fat Off, Fat On' on exploring her bisexuality through the term 'girl crush'.

Evidently it is #BiAwarenessWeek. I am bi. I am aware I am bi. Now you're aware that I'm bi, too!

But just because I'm bi it doesn't mean I'm pansexual. I am not.

On the one hand, cis men just generally don't float my boat. I'm just not wired that way.

On the other hand, I'm sort of grey-ace. I have very low baseline levels of sexual attraction to *anyone* unless there's emotional and intellectual chemistry between us.

So... that's my declaration on this, the start of Bi Awareness Week 2022.
